Parolamia

Archivio
I believe in photography as a way to tell stories. I’ve always wished that the stories that are born in my images could somehow be translated into words.
Among the many dreams that sustain me, the loveliest is an idea that gives my work a special energy: to hand down a universe of stories to my sons that will help them find their way in life.
I want to bequeath a library to Leone (6 years) and Francesco (3 years).
I possess a large archive, fruit of ten years of work taking photos around the world.
What I wish to do is exchange them: exchange stories for stories.
I’m offering the exchange of three books for one of my photographs.
Anyone who is interested in one of my photographs (chose by me) can acquire it by purchasing three volumes from a list of corresponding books that I will publish every month on my site (www.marrozzini.com) and on Facebook. By purchasing the books and sending them to me, you will receive in exchange a printed fine art photo (18x24), signed and numbered (with a limited run of 40 copies) together with a written critique from a respected company in the photographic or literature world.
I have given this idea a name: Parolamia
During the first three sessions, the prints ran out in less than half hour each. The fourth session saw the exchange of photos for 120 books which were donated to onus UGI, Unione Genitori Italiani, to create a library for children suffering from tumours and staying in Turin’s Regina Margherita paediatric hospital. My wish is to once again see many transactions. I believe that the exchange of culture (photography) for culture (literature) and facilitating its diffusion is a very powerful driver of change and improvement for all.
